Week 20 Event Management

Setting up a meeting using doodle was great, it was easy to do and something that I feel can be used all the time.
I set up a google calendar and I am now going to try and using this on a daily basic. This was a great week of learning 2.1 for me as it is something that I found very useful and can use easily.

Week 19 Productivity

RSS feeds.

I am really enjoying doing more of the RSS feeds, have found some great info on travel and cooking however I don't seem to get too much time to play with these feeds. I try and check and check them at least once per week, but feel that I need to do it more often.
I am finding that I am getting more use to the RSS feeds and am enjoying my little plays with them.

Week 18 slideshows, screencasting and digital story telling

Web 2.1 is getting to be a great avenue for me as a new learning curve of what 2.1, really is about.
I think that I am finally starting to understand what can be done. One of thing things I do like was slidesharing, it is great way for staff to share presentations within the working environment. I can see the many uses that it will have in the library environment, as many people are familiar with powerpoint presentations, it just means that the sharing of presentations and graphs is made easier by slidesharing.

Week 17 Nings

Nings: I can appreciate that with a ning you can have so much information, like video streaming pictures, photos put into a social network (ning). It is a great way to communicate with people, and I can see why it is becomming popular. Alas It is something that I would probablely not use.
However with the way technology is these days, you never know I may become converted.!

Week 16 Evaluation web 2.0 tools

Evaluation of tools.

I completed the monkey survey, which I found very interesting. This is something that I think I could use in the future. I can see the possibilities of many uses within the work environment and I am looking fordward to using this again.

Week 15 Delicious

Delicious is an interesting section to do. I am not sure that I would use this much, however I do like the idea of bookmarking sections that I am interested it. I have linked this to my tweeter account so am interest to see how this goes.

Week 14 - Twitter

This is all new to me, not sure if I would use twitter for my self but I can see the possibilities for the many uses. A quick message about an event eg author talks, booksale, meeting for coffee seems to be a quick way of communicating.
